We all, surely, seek to look after health and safety of our family, relatives and friends, especially in the conditions of modern life, rapid development of new technologies, and degraded state of ecology… We began to think about that more often! People constructed plenty of instruments that assist in solving these tasks. But are we always aware of danger?! Lots of people don’t even suspect that they should take care of personal radiation safety, as we can’t feel, see or comprehend radiation any other way! 

Logical question arises: how then can I make sure there is no radiation present? It’s as easy, as ABC! For this purpose there is a Ukrainian household dosimeter TERRA-P from “Ecotest” trade mark. Its development was stimulated by a large number of appeals from average citizens willing to buy a radiation detector for everyday use of high-quality and at a reasonable price.

It’s not a strange thing for population of a country, where one of the most disastrous catastrophes of the planet took place, the consequences of which we still experience. Today, 15 nuclear power units are operating in Ukraine now and then being the source of alarming rumors about dangerous radio-ecological situation in their vicinity. But, unfortunately, if we simply avoid being near nuclear power plants, it won’t help us fight radiation impact. It can be everywhere: in foodstuff, construction materials, in different “harmless” trifles of our life etc. That’s why we should always have sufficient information at hand about things surrounding us.

The dosimeter will come in handy not only on the territories near NPP and in industrial areas, but also be of use for those, who decided to build a house, buy a car, or inspect for radiation level of own workplace or a place of resort.

By the way, TERRA-P dosimeter is based on the professional dosimeter-radiometer TERRA used as the armament for the Ukrainian army, and enjoys popularity among many different countries of the world. The household model with built-in clock and alarm clock is light, compact, easy-to-use, with ergonomic design, and is intended to control gamma and beta radiation types.
